With a career spanning several decades, she has become a celebrated figure in the New York City music scene and beyond, earning a reputation for her soulful interpretations of both classic and modern songs.

Born and raised in Long Island, New York, Meringolo was drawn to music at an early age, inspired by legends like Barbra Streisand and Johnny Mathis, Liza Minnelli, Donna Summer & Bette Midler. She began singing professionally in her early twenties developing a rich, resonant voice that would later become her trademark. Her organic approach in vocal performance helped shape her exceptional range and emotive delivery, allowing her to captivate audiences with a deep emotional connection to her material.

Marieann’s talent has earned her numerous awards and recognition. She was most recently the recipient of the 2026 MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabaret) Award for Major Artist - Female. Her shows are often praised for their heartfelt storytelling, as she blends musicality with personal narratives, creating intimate experiences for her audiences. She performs in New York City’s most celebrated venues [54 Below, Joe’s Pub, Chelsea Table + Stage, The Iridium, Rose Theater at Jazz at Lincoln Center], and throughout the United States including Studio City, CA, Palm Springs, CA, St. Louis MO, South Florida, Provincetown, MA, Cherry Grove, NY, and internationally at The Pheasantry - London, UK, The Palm, Puerto Vallarta to name a few. She has toured with Comedians George Wallace and the late David Brenner and has also Headlined on prestigious cruise lines around the world. In 2019, Marieann was inducted into New York’s famed Friars Club.

Meringolo is particularly known for her tribute performances, paying homage to icons like Alan & Marilyn Bergman, Michel Legrand, Dionne Warwick, Johnny Mathis and Barbra Streisand. Her album “Between Yesterday and Tomorrow: The Songs of  Alan & Marilyn Bergman” is a standout, showcasing her ability to interpret complex melodies with grace and nuance. The Wall Street Journal music critic Will Friedwald said, “The music of the Bergmans, as movingly realized by Marieann Meringolo, transports us to a better and more ideal world.”

She has recorded multiple albums that highlight her vocal prowess and musical versatility. Her critically acclaimed debut album: “Hold Me Close,” her MAC & Bistro Award winning second album: “Imagine…If We Only Have Love,” her long awaited Holiday album “In the Spirit,” along with singles, “I Am Blessed” and “In the Spirit” both accompanied with their own Official Music Videos on YouTube. 

 

Marieann’s gorgeous voice is played on radio stations and digital outlets around the world, and has been heard on United Airlines flights as well as Air Force II. She has also had the honor of performing live at the United Nations. She continues to be a dynamic presence on the concert and cabaret circuit, inspiring audiences with her powerful voice, emotional depth, and timeless artistry.
